LADY'S HAT FARM
The name for Lady's Hat Farm was inspired by a hill on a piece of land owned by Nikki Wiart's family. The two spruce trees growing from its side are reminiscent of the feathers sprouting from the side of a fancy hat. The Lady's Hat is the spiritual centre of the farm, and of Nikki's family.
Together, Nikki and her father worked to incorporate her dream into his—a 40-plus year beef operation in the heart of the Alberta prairies. Lady’s Hat Farm is an extension of MW Ranching, and everything done is done in a way that respects and honours the legacy Nikki's father has built. From bees, to pigs, to market vegetables, Lady’s Hat Farm follows agro-ecological practices to use what the land offers, giving to the soil as much as it gives to us.
