LAZY T FARM
Lazy T Farm is a fifth generation family farm in East-Central Alberta, near Halkirk, est. in 1904, and a farm has been transitioned only through the females. Currently, the farm team consists of the fourth and fifth generations. Tony and Clara have been holistically managing the land for over 10 years, and now Brett and Jenna are producing grass-finished beef, free-range eggs, and pastured poultry.
Brett and Jenna are excited to be new farmers, motivated by good food and health of the land. Brett, an electrician by trade has morphed into a cow enthusiast. Jenna, who grew up on the farm, was an interior designer and home organizer, and now when she is not farming she teaches yoga. The pair love learning and travelling. Before returning to the farm, they spent six months living out of their '73 Volkswagen Van, driving through the states, visiting farms, and getting ideas.
Their goal is to provide nutritious, quality food to their customers while working with nature to improve the land—focusing largely on soil health. The farm is always welcome to visitors. Lazy T believes an open door policy is the best certification.
